About
Welcome to Guiding Spirit Wellness!
Hello, I’m Nikki – I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
My journey began in the UK, where I worked as an Educational Psychologist for 17 years. In 2014, after years of dreaming and planning, my family and I emigrated to Canada. That move gave me the space to step back, reflect, and realign my professional life with my passion for holistic wellness.
Along the way, I’ve navigated my own challenges: solo parenting while my husband served in the military, balancing a demanding career with family life, and the upheaval of starting again in a new country. Those experiences deepened my empathy and solidified my belief that true wellness means looking beyond labels and symptoms, and seeing the whole person – mind, body, emotions, and spirit.
That belief became the foundation of Guiding Spirit Wellness. Here, my mission is simple: to equip you with a practical, personal toolkit for lasting emotional balance. I combine psychology and neuroscience with somatic and energy-based approaches to create tools that actually work in the real world – not just in theory.
✨ And sometimes, the results speak for themselves.
Take Bill, for example. At first, he was reluctant to accept he even needed help. His turning point came when two grandchildren were on the way, and he realised he didn’t know how to feel the joy of becoming “Happy Grandad.” After just three sessions together, he told me:
“I’ve achieved more in 3 sessions with you than in two years of formal counselling.”
Today, Bill has a renewed sense of hope and a whole new set of strategies to support him, not just for himself, but for his family too.
That’s what Guiding Spirit Wellness is about: giving you tools you can use anytime, anywhere, so you feel more calm, capable, and connected – not just in moments of crisis, but in everyday life.
💜 Remember, wellness is a journey – one you don’t have to walk alone.

What They Say
Nikki is amazing at what she does. She is open and understanding. She has helped me in my journey and I can’t thank her enough. Highly recommend seeing Nikki.
It’s like you have special psychic powers and went inside my head, and pulled out information that I couldn’t see … that unknown variable that I’m trying to find in order to go deeper, and you just put it into words for me.
I couldn’t get out from underneath the feeling of overwhelm. It was crushing. I now have a whole list of tools in my toolbox. Nikki was like my Fairy Godmother. Without her, I don’t know if I’d have been able to get my head above water.
Before coaching with Nikki, I struggled with setting boundaries and believing in myself. Also, trusting adults who are supervisors/managers, as I wouldn’t receive help/support from them.
Nikki taught me that I need to stop believing what I’ve been told about myself from others. I am not my emotion.
The 3 most significant results I’ve experienced from coaching with Nikki are using the 7/11 breathing subconsciously; the concept of pattern matching, and advocating for myself by asking for help.
What I loved most about coaching with Nikki is she has a plan for each session, but doesn’t force it if the session goes a different direction.
Before coaching with Nikki, I struggled with overwhelm. Then Nikki taught me that overwhelm is just another form of stress and stress can be helpful and necessary at times. Nikki taught me how to reframe it.
The 3 most significant results I’ve experienced from coaching with Nikki are reframing, self-awareness of where I’m feeling the stress/overwhelm and different tools to help deal with it, such as breathing exercises.
Nikki was helpful in getting me to recognize the importance of reframing and the thoughts that we tell ourselves.
Before working with Nikki, my stress levels were off the chart, I was not emotionally stable and I couldn’t work out what I needed, how or where to start. I was paralysed. I couldn’t figure out how to move forwards.
If I hadn’t worked with Nikki, I’d probably be stuck in bed with the covers over my head, ignoring everything. Instead, I feel much calmer, and I have tools to get out of the spiral and move forwards. I understand the learning behind reframing things, and can step back from the emotion of things. I am able to stop, breathe, and search for what I need to do next.
